Clearbit Alternatives: It Is Not About Price

By Kooperativa Engineering

Most comparisons in this category come down to pricing models. This one does not. HubSpot announced the Clearbit acquisition in November 2023 and completed it that December, rebranded the product as Breeze Intelligence at INBOUND in September 2024, and wound down the standalone offering. Clearbit Connect shut down in December 2024, the free platform and weekly visitor report ended in April 2025, and the free Logo API was sunset through late 2025.

The practical result is a gate rather than a price. Breeze Intelligence requires an active paid HubSpot subscription. A team on Salesforce, Pipedrive, a custom CRM, or no CRM cannot use it at any budget, which means the first question is not what the alternatives cost but whether HubSpot is your CRM.

If you are on HubSpot already

Staying is often reasonable. Breeze credit packs are reported from roughly $45 a month on top of a HubSpot subscription starting around $15 to $30 a month at minimum, and per-credit cost was migrated to roughly $0.01 in 2025, down sharply from an older $0.45 rate. Enrichment happening natively inside the CRM removes an integration you would otherwise build and maintain.

The figure worth checking before assuming it is cheap is total spend at real volume. Several 2026 breakdowns report $30,000 to $100,000 or more a year for enrichment alone at scale, which is a very different number from the entry credit pack.

If you are not, the requirement is a standalone API

The category that actually replaces what Clearbit used to be, a developer-first REST API with clean endpoints callable from any stack, is narrower than a generic alternatives list suggests. People Data Labs publishes its rates, Person Enrichment from around $98 a month and Company Enrichment from around $100, charging one credit per successful match at roughly $0.28 on the Pro tier, which makes it the closest analogue on both interface and transparency.

Coresignal is API-first with two credit pools, Collect and Search, from around $49 a month at entry. Crustdata documents an exact credit cost per endpoint, 1 credit for a base person profile with additive charges up to a documented maximum of 7 for a fully enriched record, with credits valid six months rather than resetting monthly, though its live real-time endpoints are enterprise-gated rather than self-serve.

The migration detail people miss

Clearbit's reputation rested partly on sub-second cached responses and a small number of very clean endpoints. Teams porting away often discover their code assumed that shape: a single call returning a wide, flat record, fast enough to sit in a request path.

Worth checking explicitly on any candidate before committing: whether the equivalent lookup is one call or several, whether the response is flat or nested, whether latency tolerates being called synchronously, and whether the free tier is large enough to replay a realistic slice of production traffic. Those determine migration effort far more than the per-record rate does.

A flat, platform-independent option

Kooperativa has no platform dependency: an API key and a REST endpoint, callable from any language or stack, with any CRM or none, at $499/mo or $449/mo on a single annual payment for unlimited requests across every endpoint, bounded by a shared 500 requests per minute rate limit.

One scope difference matters when replacing Clearbit specifically. Clearbit surfaced work email addresses; Kooperativa does not produce email addresses or phone numbers. Its resolve-email endpoint runs the other direction, accepting an address you already hold and returning that person's profile, which covers backfilling records that arrived with only an email but does not find one you do not have. For form-fill enrichment that depended on turning an email into a company and role, that direction works. For generating contact details, it does not.
