Kooperativa vs Clearbit: Standalone API

Clearbit was folded into HubSpot as Breeze Intelligence and now requires a paid HubSpot subscription plus a separate credit pack. Kooperativa is a standalone API with no other platform required.

Clearbit as a standalone product no longer exists. HubSpot acquired it in late 2023 and folded it into the HubSpot platform as Breeze Intelligence, first at INBOUND 2024. The old clearbit.com domain still resolves, but it carries no pricing information, because there's nothing to price separately anymore.

Breeze Intelligence is sold as an add-on that requires an active, paid HubSpot subscription as a prerequisite. The entry point is a Breeze credit pack starting around $45 a month, on top of a HubSpot Starter subscription that itself starts around $15 to $30 a month, so the practical minimum to access any of this data is the sum of both, not either alone.

The credit-price migration worth knowing about

HubSpot migrated Breeze Intelligence to a unified "HubSpot Credits" system in 2025, moving the effective per-credit price down to roughly $0.01, a significant drop from the older $0.45 per credit rate under legacy Clearbit pricing. That's a real improvement for HubSpot customers already paying for credits, but it doesn't remove the underlying requirement: you still need a paid HubSpot seat to access any of it at all.

At meaningful enrichment volume, several 2026 pricing breakdowns put realistic annual spend on Breeze Intelligence enrichment alone at $30,000 to $100,000 or more, once credit consumption scales with a real contact and company database.

Why platform dependency is the core difference here

The comparison with Clearbit/Breeze isn't really about credits versus flat pricing first, it's about whether you're required to run HubSpot as your CRM to use the data at all. A team on Salesforce, a custom CRM, or no CRM at all simply cannot use Breeze Intelligence, regardless of budget, because it's not sold as a standalone API anymore.

Kooperativa has no platform dependency. It's a REST API with an API key, callable from any stack, any language, any CRM or none, for $499/mo (or $449/mo annual) with unlimited requests across every endpoint.

When Breeze Intelligence is the better fit

If your team already runs HubSpot as its CRM and you specifically want enrichment surfaced inside HubSpot workflows, forms, and lifecycle automation, Breeze Intelligence's tight product integration inside a platform you're already paying for is a legitimate reason to use it over a separate API.

If you need the data itself, for a product feature, a custom pipeline, or any system that isn't HubSpot, Breeze Intelligence isn't actually an option regardless of price, since it doesn't exist outside HubSpot anymore.
